Overview

Marialoni and Ma’Asar are two powers in Beryl whose relations have alternated between periods of understanding and persistent rivalry. Their disagreements do not always take the form of open battles; diplomatic tensions and mutual distrust have also played a part.

For centuries, Prince Aderion of Marialoni has worked to secure agreements and avert renewed conflict. His initiatives include direct dialogue with King Rhamay of Ma’Asar, which helped maintain a substantial period of peace.

Despite that progress, the two nations remain caught in a kind of cold war: peace has been maintained, but the underlying tensions have not disappeared.
