Aderion

Aderion Marialoni, known as Aderion V or “Aderion the Just,” is the eldest prince of Marialoni and one of its most respected military leaders.

Biography

Aderion Marialoni (Prince Aderion, Aderion the Fifth, “Aderion the Just”) is the current eldest prince of the kingdom of Marialoni, firstborn son of King Adorein the Seventh and brother to Prince Renoyr the Fourth and Princess Lirsha the First. Beyond his duties as a member of the ruling family, he leads Marialoni’s military forces. His reputation extends far beyond his kingdom: many people across Beryl respect him for his victories, training and dedication to justice. His authority rests not only on his lineage, but also on a centuries-long record of service, leadership and diplomacy.

History

From childhood, Aderion was educated for responsibilities of great importance. His father, King Adorein VII, placed the court's finest teachers, studies and training at his disposal. His education encompassed strategy, command, governance and the moral principles expected to guide his decisions. From an early age, he showed an exceptional aptitude for learning, passing examinations and trials with an ease that surprised even his instructors.

His outstanding performance accelerated his advancement. Aderion passed through successive stages of preparation at an unusual pace, prompting his father to introduce him to the senior commanders of Marialoni's army. There he began a military career that would earn him recognition not only for his extraordinary abilities, but also for his discipline and judgment.

His first great achievement came during the Battle of the Sands, when he came to the defense of the kingdom of Amantiz against an attack by the Raiders. Aderion defeated almost the entire hostile force virtually single-handedly, a feat of unprecedented scale. That victory strengthened the bonds between Amantiz and Marialoni and helped establish an alliance that would endure for hundreds of years.

Over the centuries, the prince also became an important figure in Beryl's diplomacy. He has devoted much of his life to maintaining relations between kingdoms and preventing wars that could devastate their people. One of his central efforts has concerned relations between Marialoni and Ma’Asar: Aderion has negotiated directly with King Rhamay, advocating agreements that brought about a prolonged period of peace. Nevertheless, mistrust persists between the two nations, together with the tensions of a cold war that has never been fully resolved.

Abilities and Capabilities

Aderion's abilities distinguish him even among Azars. His combination of physical power, perception and endurance allows him to face challenges far beyond the limits of an ordinary person.

Extraordinary strength
He possesses physical strength far beyond the ordinary, enabling him to overcome large numbers of opponents.
Exceptional endurance
He withstands exertion and extreme conditions that would overwhelm others.
Near invulnerability
His body is extraordinarily resistant to physical harm, though he is not absolutely invulnerable.
Hypermobility
He can move and react at superhuman speeds, performing exceptionally rapid movements.
Heightened senses
His hearing, smell and other senses operate far beyond those of an ordinary human.
Freedom from ordinary bodily needs
He does not need to eat or sleep and does not experience ordinary physical fatigue, allowing him to remain active without normal recovery breaks.
Mental resistance
He is immune to psychic interference and attempts at mind control.
Advanced longevity
Like other inhabitants of Prade, he can live for centuries: lifespans generally range from about 400 to 800 years, regardless of whether someone is an Azar.

Education, Values and Character

Aderion's education was never limited to warfare. His tutors instilled in him study, self-control, responsibility toward the kingdom's people and the duty to listen before issuing orders. His training includes political and strategic knowledge, personal discipline and a moral education that he strives to bring to his decisions.

His epithet, “the Just,” reflects how many people across Beryl see him: a leader who values honesty, honor, keeping one's word and defending those unable to protect themselves. In military affairs, he expects preparation and loyalty; in diplomacy, he prefers to avoid unnecessary conflict. Although his power is extraordinary, his reputation also rests on how he chooses to use it.
