Renoyr
Renoyr Marialoni (Renoyr IV), aged 203, is the second son of Adorein VII. Although his father sees him as living in Aderion's shadow and forbids him from leaving Marialoni, Renoyr deeply admires his older brother and regards him as his role model.
Biography
Renoyr Marialoni (Prince Renoyr, Renoyr the Fourth) is the second son of King Adorein the Seventh, younger brother of Prince Aderion the Fifth and older brother of Princess Lirsha the First. He is 203 years old and belongs to the royal house of Marialoni in Beryl. Unlike his elder brother, Renoyr is not an Azar and has no supernatural powers, although he shares the advanced longevity common to Prade. His life unfolds under constant comparison with Aderion: in his father's eyes, Renoyr remains in the firstborn's shadow, unable to match his renowned achievements. The king forbids him from leaving Marialoni's territories, limiting his experience beyond the court. Renoyr feels that Adorein neither loves him as deeply nor grants him the same recognition as Aderion. He does not, however, blame his brother for that unequal treatment: he deeply admires him, considers him a role model and strives to live up to the values he represents. This admiration coexists with his insecurity and his wish to find a place of his own.
History and Family
Renoyr was born into the royal house of Marialoni in Beryl. He is the son of Adorein VII and is the second of his three children: Aderion is the eldest, while Lirsha is the youngest.
Differences in how the brothers are treated shape his family life. In the eyes of King Adorein, Renoyr lives in the shadow of Aderion, whose military victories and public recognition have made him a difficult figure to match. Renoyr has no achievements or responsibilities that bring him comparable prestige, but he regards his brother's accomplishments with admiration rather than resentment. The tension stems from their father's expectations and unequal treatment.
Court Life and Restrictions
Despite being a prince, Renoyr has very limited freedom of movement. His father has forbidden him from leaving the territories of Marialoni. The restriction keeps him within the kingdom's borders and reduces his opportunities to experience other courts and territories in Beryl firsthand.
While Aderion has built a reputation through military campaigns and diplomatic work, Renoyr has no equivalent public record. The difference is not simply a matter of ability: it is also shaped by the trust and opportunities their father grants each of them.
Character, Admiration and Relationship with His Father
Renoyr is reserved and less accomplished in the public eye than his elder brother. The persistent feeling that he falls short of the king's expectations shapes how he sees his place in the family. Although he is Adorein's son, he feels that his father loves and values Aderion more.
Renoyr does not direct his frustration toward Aderion. On the contrary, he sincerely admires his older brother: Aderion's sense of justice, achievements and dedication to the kingdom are an example he strives to follow. Renoyr hopes one day to earn recognition of his own without ceasing to look up to Aderion.
The bond between the brothers should be distinguished from King Adorein. Renoyr's sense of living in someone's shadow stems from his father's comparisons and restrictions, not from hostility toward Aderion.
